Explore respiratory career pathways
ECMO Our extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) team is rigorously trained in this complex level of life support. The core team consists of approximately ten nurses and respiratory therapists who manage the ECMO circuit, and there are more than 25 RNs and RTs trained as bedside specialists. 
Sleep Lab In our Sleep Center, respiratory therapists diagnose and treat children with various sleep disorders as part of a robust team of overnight and daytime specialists.
Home Care Our Home Care team delivers robust care through advanced technology in families’ homes. Flexible shifts allow respiratory therapists to serve patients within a 75-mile radius of Main Hospital. 
Transport Team Our Transport Team operates 24/7 to stabilize and transport sick and injured children. This multi-disciplinary team consists of ground (ambulance) and air (helicopter and fixed wing) transportation, serving patients from national and international locations. 
Pulmonary Function Lab Respiratory therapists help diagnose and manage lung disorders like asthma, chronic lung disease of prematurity, cystic fibrosis, and more in our Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) Labs. CHOP RTs are experts in getting accurate, reliable results while keeping children comfortable.
