Our total rewards program is designed to give you flexibility, financial security, and work-life balance.
Commitment to Pay Transparency
At CHOP, we are committed to fair and transparent practices. We strive to offer compensation plans that support our mission and reflect both market dynamics and the critical work our employees do in support of the healthcare system. We have a consistent, role-based approach to evaluate compensation.
Compensation Structure
Wages and salaries are based on market data, job responsibilities, experience, and qualifications. Most roles have a defined range which is reviewed annually.
Other Pay Programs
CHOP offers a range of role- and need-based variable compensation plans, which may include shift differential, on- call pay, and incentive, sign-on, relocation, and other bonus opportunities.
Salary Adjustments
Most salary and wage adjustments are reviewed annually, with a small number being set under collective bargaining agreements. Adjustments may be made based on market dynamics, performance, and other factors.
We believe that transparency builds trust. Our goal is to ensure all employees feel welcomed, understood, and valued. We share plan information so that employees understand how we approach total rewards and how related decisions are made.

“When I had a child, my colleagues rallied around me. They understood my life changes and supported me—even if it was to help me get home on time to see my baby at the end of a shift.”
