Job Summary

The Workday Security Analyst III will join a strategic project for this premier children’s hospital in the country implementing Workday. This is a senior level position responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the application security strategy for CHOP’s Workday implementation. This role will work closely with business partners, analysts and cross functional teams to translate security requirements into the configuration enabling role-based workflow and data security. This role is a subject matter expert in their domain that will lead teams on complex projects and mentor junior team members.

Job Responsibilities

• Develops the security design, configuration, testing and deployment of Workday security into production
• Engages internal stakeholders for input and ratification on security design requirements and role allocations
• Provides mapping of employees to security groups for assignment of security in all phases of testing and production
• Documents security configuration including design blueprints following the end-to-end build
• Creates and maintains test scenarios and materials relating to security
• Participates in the development, validation and execution of comprehensive test plans.
• Performs audits on system roles and access logs to ensure accuracy
• Grants system access to CHOP users during implementation and in production
• Participates in report reviews, including understanding and ensuring security and data privacy standards
• Creates, edits and removes organization security roles for the system and provides support for issues relating to user-based security in Workday
• Maintains assignment for User Based Security roles to Employees and/or Positions
• Coordinates with vendors to understand new technology scope and association with new functionality and security
• Develops and maintains awareness of divisional and data security and comply with policies and procedures
• Participates in scheduled and ad hoc training in order to improve policy and process acumen
• Performs routine operational support, maintenance and system configuration as defined in departmental operating procedures.
• Adept at working on multiple concurrent projects with nominal supervision. Capable of educating, coaching, and overseeing the activities of less
experienced staff and other team members.
• Attends specific client-based meetings and directs the communication of client needs to the appropriate support/service groups.
• Actively participates with clients, internal and external, to elicit, analyze and document business and functional requirements through requirements
workshops, interviews or meeting sessions with Project Sponsors, SMEs and other Stakeholders to diagnose and resolve complex technical,
management, and business issues related to application security. Identifies and documents business and technical requirements using standard
• Monitors effectiveness of current business practices and identifies areas for improvement/innovation. Has exceptional skills and expertise of business
processes, and IT systems related to application security.
• Exhibits strong facilitation and communication skills and interacts with all hospital medical, technical and business personnel.
• May be required to travel to/from and work in the various CHOP locations, including patient care areas.
• May be required to travel for mandatory certifications.

Job Responsibilities (Continued)

1. Provide secondary system administration support (security, tenant management, etc.) for ERP and ancillary applications.
2. Monitor system performance and availability.
3. Apply CHOP’s and industry best practices in environment controls and change management.
4. Participate in rotating on-call schedule.
5. Provide second level help desk support to resolve technical issues.
6. Apply in-depth technical analysis to solve system and application issues.

Required Education and Experience

Required Education: Bachelors of/in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other Health Care related field

Required Experience:
• Relevant experience (2-5 years) within a healthcare environment
• Relevant Information Systems analyst experience (3-5 years)
• Proficient in Workday application security administration


Preferred Education, Experience & Cert/Lic

Preferred Experience:
• 2-3 Workday Implementations preferred
• 4 to 6 years of IT and related business experience including leading team(s) responsible for system administration is preferred.
• 1 to 3 years of consulting experience is preferred.
• Healthcare experience is a plus.

Preferred Education Licenses/Certificates/Registrations:
• Workday Pro Certified (Security)

Preferred Technical Skills:
1. Proficient in Workday application and workflow configuration
2. Familiar with Workday business processes
3. Demonstrated knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle.
4. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
5. Experience working with analytical reporting tools.
