NICU Central Unit Assistant Nurse Manager/Clinical Supervisor

Job Summary

This is a full-time, rotating shift position with NICU Central, one of five sub-units within the 100 bed NICU.  The position will have direct supervison for approximately 25 staff.  The position maintains approximately twenty percent in patient care roles.  The Clinical Nurse Supervisor provides leadership and direct day to day supervision of staff.  Responsible for assuring delivery of safe, efficient, cost effective, age specific nursing care.  Responsible for and deploys unit strategies designed to meet defined unit and CHOP clinical, financial and quality initiatives and associated performance and outcome targets. Effectively supervises staff.  

Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations

Registered nurse license in state(s) with jurisdiction over practice location.
CPR Certification issued through an organization that requires a hands-on instructor lead psychomotor skills verification (ex. American Heart Association or Red Cross)

Required Education and Experience

Required Education:  BSN.  According to the CMS (Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services) a copy of diploma or transcript is required as proof of academic achievement for all non-laboratory personnel performing non-waived POC testing.

 

Required Experience:

  • Previous experience with human relations, human & material resource management.
  • Previous experience providing clinical and administrative nursing leadership.
  • At least one (1) year of progressive leadership experience.
