Later, Avery joined the wedding via FaceTime, tossing petals down an empty hallway lined with battery-operated candles. She even made invitations for staff to join a reception—complete with music and snacks—in her room.
When Security Officer Joseph Tyler found an unhoused man barefoot and struggling in the freezing weather, he retrieved an extra pair of sneakers he had packed for the gym, helped the man put on socks and shoes, tied his laces, and helped him back to his feet.
