Psychiatrists
Psychiatrists provide evaluations, formulations, and direct clinical care in a range of environments, including Crisis, Emergency, Inpatient, Outpatient, Consults, Community, and Outreach.
CHOP offers a two-year, ACGME-approved Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship, as well as the Post Pediatric Portal Program for physicians who completed an ACGME-approved pediatric residency and are seeking additional training in or a career shift to child and adolescent psychiatry.
Psychiatrist-in-Chief Dr. Tami Bentonwas named president of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) 36th president for the 2023-2025 term.
We offer accredited, specialized training in the biological, behavioral, and psychosocial aspects of pediatric care to interns, residents, and fellows. Additionally, our Behavioral Health Education Committee provides robust professional development resources.
Our Center for Advanced Behavioral Healthcare, located at 4601 Market St., primarily serves as an outpatient facility with day-hospital offerings. A hub for specialty and intensive services, the facility complements DCAPBS’ vision of providing the full continuum of care in the most appropriate setting.
CHOP is growing!Our first inpatient behavioral health facility at Cedar Avenue will include 46 private rooms, two inpatient units, and a crisis response center.
