Provide the right care—at the right time, in the right setting—as part of CHOP’s Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences (DCAPBS).
Psychiatrist-in-Chief Dr. Tami Benton was named president of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) for the 2023-2025 term.
We offer accredited, specialized training in the biological, behavioral, and psychosocial aspects of pediatric care to interns, residents, and fellows. Additionally, our Behavioral Health Education Committee provides robust professional development resources.
A hub for specialty and intensive services, our Center for Advanced Behavioral Healthcare at 4601 Market St. complements DCAPBS’ vision of providing the full continuum of care in the most appropriate setting.
CHOP is growing! Our first inpatient behavioral health facility at Cedar Avenue includes 46 private rooms, two inpatient units, and a crisis response center.
