Psychiatrists provide evaluations, formulations, and direct clinical care in a range of environments, including Crisis, Emergency, Inpatient, Outpatient, Consults, Community, and Outreach. CHOP offers a two-year, ACGME-approved Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship, as well as the Post Pediatric Portal Program for physicians who completed an ACGME-approved pediatric residency and are seeking additional training in or a career shift to child and adolescent psychiatry.
Our Psychologists work with multidisciplinary teams to provide clinical services, benefit from comprehensive professional development resources, and conduct innovative research relevant to their practice specialties. CHOP also offers Psychology fellowship, externship, and internship programs.
Licensed Clinical Social Workers provide professional services for patients and families, including assessment of psychosocial functioning, counseling for care planning and decision-making, social work treatment, and community resource planning.
Psychiatrist-in-Chief Dr. Tami Benton was named president of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) for the 2023-2025 term.
We offer accredited, specialized training in the biological, behavioral, and psychosocial aspects of pediatric care to interns, residents, and fellows. Additionally, our Behavioral Health Education Committee provides robust professional development resources.
A hub for specialty and intensive services, our Center for Advanced Behavioral Healthcare at 4601 Market St. complements DCAPBS’ vision of providing the full continuum of care in the most appropriate setting.
