Job Summary
Responsible for overall operation of assigned Specialty Care Center to ensure efficient, cost effective, high quality patient care. Includes development and monitoring of operational systems, supervision of support staff, monitoring and maintenance of information systems, patient scheduling and registration, charging and cash collection, problem resolution, patient flow, and marketing.
Job Responsibilities
- Management of multi disciplinary large Specialty Care Center including but not limited to Surgery and Imaging Modalities. Ensures service excellence in all aspects of site operations. Responsible for managing all daily operations of the site. Implements site policies and procedures. Ensures all areas of accountability are compliant with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
- Works with nursing, physicians/clinicians and ancillary staff to ensure smooth patient flow while managing daily and master schedules. Works with practice groups as necessary to continually improve center’s operations.
- Oversees the ordering and usage of supplies following cost control guidelines of the department and hospital.
- Responsible for recruitment, orientation, training, performance reviews and retention of staff while providing a clean and safe environment.
- Facilitates ongoing center maintenance and repairs to maintain a safe working environment for entire facility in conjunction with the ASF Nurse Manager ( if applicable).
- Assist with registration, payment collection, posting and payment reconciliation(cash drawer) on an as needed basis.
- Assist with scheduling patient appointments, pre-registration, benefit verification and financial counseling on an as needed basis.
Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations
Required Education and Experience
Required Education: High School / GED
Required Experience: Minimum five (5) years of supervisory experience
Preferred Education, Experience & Cert/Lic
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree

Must possess strong understanding of practice management/medical office processes.

Excellent communication skills, demonstrated organizational skills and multi-tasking ability.

- Practical knowledge of computers and healthcare applications, Microsoft Office, Access, IDX, ADT, Groupwise, Lawson, and Internet.
- Ability to prioritize work and meet expectations for all responsibilities in a timely manner.
