Job Summary

Participates in a planned research projects by carrying out research experiments in accordance with established protocol(s) and under direct supervision.

  • Work with researchers from the US and around the world to help prepare datasets for submission to the PACT/R Archive
  • Process submitted datasets - data cleaning, quality control, accurately applying data harmonization rules
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of eligible studies & outreach to investigators of these studies
    • conduct regular, systematic literature searches to identify eligible studies from around the world
    • organize and enter data regarding eligible studies
    • track contact information & assist in outreach to investigators of eligible studies
  • Assist with data analysis
  • Help study team prepare materials for virtual and in-person meetings of an international expert panel

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepares Lab reagents
  • Performs research & procedures on experimental samples
  • Performs routine calculations
  • Summarizes & analyzes data according to established protocols
  • Assist with setting-up protocols
  • Maintains lab log/notebook(s)
  • Uses & maintains general laboratory equipment

Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Graduate
  • 1-2 prior internships or paid experience in a research laboratory environment
  • Enrolled in undergraduate program at a 2 or 4 year college or university desirable
  • Must be at least 16 years of age in order to work in a laboratory environment

Preferred Education, Experience & Cert/Lic

  • strong interest in data and research
  • basic skills in data management,
  • basic skills (and a strong interest) in data analysis,
  • organized and detail-oriented.
  • clear written and oral communication in English, for interactions with the project team including investigators submitting datasets and expert project advisors from around the world.
  • experience using SPSS for data management and basic analyses is strongly preferred,
  • familiarity with additional statistical packages (Mplus, R) would be of benefit
  • proficiency in other languages in addition to English - for communication with investigators

Additional Technical Requirements

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work in an organized fashion, work well with others
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications desirable
