Job Summary

The Workday Business Analyst III will engage on a team currently implementing Workday at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.  This is a long-term business analyst position and will transition to application management and system enhancements after the Workday implementation is complete.  This role will work closely with business partners, developers and cross functional teams to develop requirements to support data mapping/conversions and system interfaces.  A preferred candidate will have experience implementing and managing Workday or other cloud ERP system with functional expertise in Financial Management and Supply Chain Management. The Business Analyst III position works with a team of analysts to provide tier two support for their customers and may perform advanced system configuration changes and maintenance to support the lifecycle of the application. Recommends, develops and implements effective/strategic business solutions through research and analysis of data and business processes.

Job Responsibilities

1.    Workday or other cloud ERP implementation and/or application management experience. 
2.    Functional expertise in Financial and/or Supply Chain Management (Preferred candidate will have experience in both functional areas)
3.    Working knowledge of core finance business processes and workflows related to GL, AP, AR, expenditure approval matrices, and travel/expense.
4.    Supply Chain eProcurement integration experience with Coupa or similar system
5.    Financial system integration experience with Strata, OnBase or similar system
6.    Responsible for researching, planning, coordinating and delivering solutions to support ERP platform 
7.    Partner with business stakeholders and project team to understand requirements and provide best practices recommendations
8.    Develops, validates and executes comprehensive test plans
9.    Familiarity with ITSM tools and change management procedures
10.    High level understanding of database structures with ability to execute basic data queries and create reports
11.    Identifies, analyzes and resolves data and complex workflow solutions and issues
12.    Demonstrates ability to diagnose and resolve technical, management, and business issues and recommend areas for process improvement or innovation.
13.    Performs routine operational support, maintenance and system configuration as defined in departmental operating procedures.
14.    Adept at working on multiple concurrent projects with nominal supervision, capable of educating, coaching, and overseeing the activities of less experienced staff and other team members.
15.    Attends specific client-based meetings and directs the communication of client needs to the appropriate support/service groups.
16.    Actively participates with clients, internal and external, to elicit, analyze and document business and functional requirements through requirements workshops, interviews or meeting sessions with Project Sponsors, SMEs and other Stakeholders to diagnose and resolve complex technical, management, and business issues. Identify and document business and technical requirements
17.    Monitors effectiveness of current business practices and identifies areas for improvement/innovation.
18.    Performs 24/7 on call support if applicable
19.    Exhibits strong facilitation and communication skills and interacts with all hospital medical, technical and business personnel.
20.    May be required to travel to/from and work in the various CHOP locations, including patient care areas.
21.    May be required to travel for mandatory certifications.
 

Required Education and Experience

Required Education: Bachelors of/in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other Health Care related field

Required Experience: Relevant experience (2-5 years) within a healthcare environment. Relevant Information Systems analyst experience (3-5 years)
