Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations

Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
Sonographer needs to be registered with RDMS/ARDMS/ARRT(US) in pediatric ultrasound (PS) within 1 year of hire
CPR Certification issued through on organization that requires a hands-on instructor lead psychomotor skills verification (ex. American Heart Association or Red Cross) required.
AHA certification within one (1) year of placement into position is required.

Required Education and Experience

Required Education: High School Diploma. Ultrasound diploma.

Required Experience: Five (5) years of experience.

Preferred Education, Experience & Cert/Lic

Preferred Experience:

  • Pediatric experience

Additional Technical Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of all types of Ultrasound imaging
  • Advanced knowledge of Radiology Information Systems
  • Provides Family Centered Care
  • Integrates knowledge and assessment of child and family (Age- Specific Competency)
  • Ability to work independent of supervision
  • Good organizational skills
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
  • Able to handle multiple tasks
