Job Summary

The Senior Facilities Communications Coordinator will actively support capital planning and construction project communications at both the enterprise and senior leadership levels. The Communications Coordinator will support the dissemination of information to administrative, clinical and research leadership. The Communications Coordinator will work closely and report to the SVP of Facilities Services, Real Estate & Construction Management and the Senior Director of Facilities Planning, Project Management and Real Estate to develop and manage communications on major capital projects and planning initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as a coordinator for communications
    • Create and edit graphics formatting and production of final communications
    • Work with all necessary internal and external teams for overall message, timeline and frequency.
    • Manage and coordinate social media presence and project specific websites in conjunction with internal communications. 
    • Ensure alignment of and communication with key stakeholders by facilitating discussion and driving collaboration.


  • Partner with the Facilities team on the development of strategic communications plans for internal and external distribution
    • Build productive and positive relationships with key leaders, understand key challenges and opportunities, and collaborate on developing strategic communication solutions
    • Assist or lead meetings and the development of presentation materials
    • Prepare and present presentations to small or large group meetings


  • Manage data presented on internal and external websites.
    • Overseeing regular email communications, blogs and the Facilities departmental intranet sites.
    • Ensure overall consistency of messages and lead the development and relevance of content.
    • Develop and understanding and awareness of the internal communications need within CHOP. This will involve liaison with the Facilities team members as well as teams form other departments across CHOP.
  • Collaborate with IT team to maintain and internal and external websites.
  • Responsible for consistency of data internal and external communications across channels.

Required Education and Experience

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree


Required Experience:

  • Five (5) years of experience in communications, marketing or advertising

Preferred Education, Experience & Cert/Lic

Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Advertising, Marketing or Business


Preferred Experience: Real Estate or Construction services marketing/communications/public relations.

  • Intellectual curiosity and critical thinking skills with ability to synthesize disparate sources of data
  • Outstanding communication skills, including oral, written and presentation.  Ability to synthesize complex trends into easy-to-understand communications.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a complex matrixed organization
  • Ability to understand and anticipate the needs of others and prepare work products appropriate for varied stakeholders
  • Must be able to work independently to drive and complete projects in an efficient and timely manner
  • Commitment to the highest ethical and professional standards; personal and professional integrity above reproach
  • Strong public speak skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Photoshop and Word experience
  • Knowledge of Social Media platforms
  • Excellent time management and analytical skills with high level of attention to detail
