Job Summary

This role will plan, configure, oversee, implement, and integrate audio-visual and simulation education equipment/systems and provide related IT technical support and project management.

Job Responsibilities

Provide IT technical support and project management

  • Provide IT technical support and related project management for telemedicine, simulations, videos, reviews, learning management systems and integrations.
  • Solicit, organize, schedule, and conduct site visits, systems evaluations, informatics reviews, exchange/observerships and training.
  • Manage IT operations including policies/procedures development, procurement, infrastructure, data capture, migration tools, and related techniques and strategies.
  • Manage system design, scheduling, repair and maintenance.
  • Conduct capacity planning and scheduling including strategic planning of advanced learning spaces, and telemedicine suite/stations.
  • Conduct video editing, production and graphic design.

 

Manage IT audio visual equipment, resources and supplies

  • Configure, operate, maintain and provide technical support for audiovisual systems, including multimedia systems, manikins, cameras (analog / digital), audio recorders/mixers, converters, monitors, projectors and video debriefing technology.
  • Lead the setup, operation and breakdown of AV, simulators and related equipment.
  • Maintain and update equipment inventory database.
  • Conduct routine equipment maintenance, inventory and updates and interface with equipment manufacturers as required.
  • Evaluate equipment and identify opportunities for improvement and integration.
  • Detect, diagnose and resolve related issues including AV, PC, technical, hardware / software, connectivity, and compatibility issues.
  • Coordinate installation of software and hardware upgrades.

 

Manage data and database development

  • Organize data capture, technology integration, and formatting for analysis and reviews
  • Manage data migration tools, techniques and strategies.
  • Develop policies and procedures to ensure HIPAA compliance.
  • Maintain high-level security, data/information collection, analysis, and reporting.

 

Act as technical representative, resource, consultant, and/or intermediary

  • Respond to the needs and questions of the user community including administration, public relations, development, education and clinical departments.
  • Establish and maintain internal / external relationships including with stakeholders, resources, vendors, project managers, network engineers and risk management.
  • Analyze challenges including client and workgroup / project team identified issues.
  • Serve as a lead to implement installation, customization, and integration plans.
  • Collaborate to provide implementation estimates and develop overall solution plans.
  • Collaborate on improving patient safety and streamline operations including to help develop clinical solutions to improve outcomes, optimize processes, and reduce costs.
  • Provide technical consultation on the purchase, use, installation and integration of audiovisual and technology/equipment and systems.
  • Stay current with simulation and audiovisual technologies.

Required Education and Experience

Required Education: Technical diploma

 

Required Experience: Three (3) years of film production, telemedicine, audiovisual or simulation technology experience.

Preferred Education, Experience & Cert/Lic

Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information science/technology/systems, film / audiovisual production

 

Preferred Experience: Five (5) years of film production, telemedicine, audiovisual or simulation technology experience.

 

Previous experience in a healthcare related environment.

 

Preferred Licenses/certificates/registrations: Film / Audiovisual Production Certification or Credentials

Additional Technical Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency with audiovisual equipment and editing.
  • Intermediate proficiency with web-based electronic data capture tools (RedCap)
  • Intermediate proficiency with database software (Microsoft Access)
  • Intermediate knowledge of cloud-based technologies and services.
  • Intermediate knowledge of network administration and systems.
