Job Summary

The Senior Advisor, National Business Development will be an integral member of the team shaping CHOP’s national growth strategy. The senior advisor will bring analytical rigor to the development of our overall market strategies for national outreach, education, and awareness and will support performance management of these activities. The advisor will also be instrumental in coordinating the outreach efforts of CHOP’s faculty, in collaboration with senior clinical leadership and business development directors. As needed, the senior advisor will support program administration as well.

Job Responsibilities

  • Performs analysis to enable strategic planning
    • Conducts market and competitor research
    • Analyzes current referral patterns to identify trends that will shape local market strategies
    • Supports development of individual market strategies
  • Develops and manages approach for knowledge sharing activities and outreach
    • Engages with faculty leadership from across the institution to develop a tracking mechanism for all planned knowledge sharing activities
    • Coordinates with business development directors and faculty leaders to identify speakers for potential events
    • Facilitates meetings, conferences, and related activities to further business development priorities and develops briefing packets
  • Assesses ongoing performance of business development activity
    • Develops approach for tracking impact of outreach from across the country
    • Analyzes trend over time to support ongoing improvements in business development and patient services
  • Supports business development operations
    • Supports engagement with marketing, ensure compliance management, coordinate with patient services, etc
    • Supports communication and outreach to increase awareness of business development team and capabilities

Required Education and Experience

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree

 

Required Experience:

Two (2) years of experience in healthcare

Preferred Education, Experience & Cert/Lic

Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, public health or health-related field

 

Preferred Experience: Experience in strategy or hospital operations

Additional Technical Requirements

  • Intellectual curiosity and critical thinking skills with ability to synthesize disparate sources of data
  • Outstanding analysis skills – both quantitative and qualitative
  • Outstanding communication skills, including oral, written and presentation and engage senior faculty members.  Ability to synthesize complex trends into easy-to-understand communications
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a complex matrixed organization
  • Ability to understand and anticipate the needs of others and prepare work products appropriate for varied stakeholders
  • Must be able to work independently to drive and complete projects in an efficient and timely manner
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Intermediate knowledge of tableau preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of SharePoint
  • Commitment to the highest ethical and professional standards; personal and professional integrity above reproach
