Job Summary

The PEDSnet Project Manager will join an internationally recognized group at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia working to transform the health of children. He or she will work within a dynamic team of data scientists, programmers, and researchers as part of PEDSnet (https://www.pedsnet.org), the Research Institute’s Applied Clinical Research Center, and the Philadelphia-region Pediatric Big Data project to understand predictors of childhood diseases, improve the quality of children’s healthcare, and rapidly advance knowledge through the creation and development of learning health systems. There is a large Data Coordinating Center (DCC) within the Applied Clinical Research Center, whose focus is on developing informatics methods to standardize health data from diverse sources, and make intelligent use of the data to produce new and actionable knowledge about child health. The Project Manager will act as the primary liason between the DCC and PEDSnet leadership.


Within PEDSnet, the Project Manager has primary responsibility for structuring, tracking, and managing both internal and multi-institution data flows.  The Project Manager will apply skills including development of resource requirements, integration of timelines across multiple projects, creation and tracking of project plans and milestones, and coordination of effort across multiple teams

Job Responsibilities

Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations

None

Required Education and Experience

Required Education: BA/BS in related field.

 

Required Experience: 5+ years of relevant clinical research experience; prior experience leading research projects.

Preferred Education, Experience & Cert/Lic

Preferred Education: MA/MS in related field.

 

Preferred Experience: 3+ years leading relevant clinical research projects.

Additional Technical Requirements

  • Responsible for overall management of the trial(s) to ensure compliance with study protocol, FDA, NIH and IRB policies. 
  • Applied knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines including protection of human research subjects with particular emphasis on pediatrics, definitions and reporting requirement for adverse events, elements of informed consent, Federal Codes, Regulations and Guidelines relevant to the performance and conduct of clinical trials.
