Job Summary

We are seeking highly motivated individuals with excellent academic track-record. Successful candidates should have a PhD (or equivalent) in Biomedical, Computer Science, Information Science, or related field. Ideal applicants should have a background in machine learning and biomedical image analysis.  Prior experience in Convolutional Neural Network would be a strong asset. Proficiency in quantitative analytical methods and computer programming (e.g., Python, Matlab ) is essential. Experience with medical image analysis (e.g., MRI, CT, X-ray, Ultrasound) or statistical methods and software packages is preferable. Applicants should demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work effectively independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

This appointment will initially be for 12 months with a possibility of an extension. Salary will be commensurate with relevant experience 
and based on the prevailing wage for postdoctoral research trainees set by the U.S. Department of Labor.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Conduct independent scholarly research and develop new methods and protocols
  2. Participate in project planning, recording and evaluation of data
  3. Acquire technical, lab management and grant writing skills
  4. Participate in seminars, lectures, poster sessions and presentation at national meetings
  5. Supervise junior lab members
  6. Assist with other research projects

Required Education and Experience

  • A terminal degree PhD, MD, DVM, etc.
  • According to the CMS (Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services) a copy of diploma or transcript is required as proof of academic achievement for all non-laboratory personnel performing non-waived POC testing
