Job Summary
The Zepp Lab, of the University of Pennsylvania and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, is looking for a Post-Doctoral scientist to join our growing group. Our lab seeks to understand the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying lung diseases in children and adults. We have several lines of investigation focused on the functions of lung fibroblast lineages. We are looking for creative scientists to help us build new models to parse the varied functional responses of unique fibroblast subsets and how they contribute to disease. Our lab takes a comprehensive approach that includes genetic mouse models, three-dimensional in vitro cell culture, live imaging, molecular and transcriptomic profiling to interrogate these cellular processes.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct independent scholarly research and develop new methods and protocols
- Participate in project planning, recording and evaluation of data
- Acquire technical, lab management and grant writing skills
- Participate in seminars, lectures, poster sessions and presentation at national meetings
- Supervise junior lab members
- Assist with other research projects

Required Education and Experience
- A terminal degree PhD, MD, DVM, etc.
- According to the CMS (Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services) a copy of diploma or transcript is required as proof of academic achievement for all non-laboratory personnel performing non-waived POC testing
Preferred Education, Experience & Cert/Lic
Additional Technical Requirements
