Job Summary

The Department of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, the Section of Neuro-Oncology in the Cancer Center and the Neurofibromatosis Program at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) are seeking a full-time licensed psychologist with expertise in pediatric neuropsychology.


The neuropsychologist will be responsible for the neuropsychological assessments of children, adolescents and young adults referred from the CHOP NF program and the Neuro-Oncology Section of the Division of Oncology.  In addition, other clinical responsibilities will include focused interventions to remediate cognitive and/or social deficits in functioning (e.g., social skills program, cognitive remediation, interventions focused on independence during transition in care). Research is a planned component of the position with an emphasis on supporting the neuro-oncology section, NF and behavioral oncology research programs.


Consistent with the mission of CHOP, the neuropsychologist will have opportunities to participate in training of future healthcare providers, including future psychologists through the hospital’s Postdoctoral Training Program; APA-accredited Pre-Doctoral Psychology Internship as well as opportunities to work with psychology practicum students from area universities. Psychologists at CHOP are eligible to apply for faculty appointment through the Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine of the University of Pennsylvania.

Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations

PA licensure as psychologist

Required Education and Experience

  • PhD or PsyD in Psychology.

  • Approved Postdoctoral Fellowship/Residency training in pediatric neuropsychology

Additional Technical Requirements

Excellent interpersonal skills
