Job Summary

The Technology Administration Analyst I is responsible for understanding and competency with current technologies and concepts within their discipline. This role works under direct supervision to accomplish daily assignments in support of team initiatives. The Technology Administration Analyst I also demonstrates basic expertise in the implementation, integration, troubleshooting, administration, management, and evolution of complex technologies.  In addition, this role provides support to internal and external customers while exhibiting high quality customer service.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supports a fast paced 24x7 day-to-day operations; participates in on-call rotation for 24x7 coverage as needed and able to work flexible hours (evenings and weekends).
  • Delivers high quality customer service when dealing with both clients and peers.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of technical and data architecture, data security, and best practices and industry standards for software/device environment management, inventory/asset control, change control, and deployment.
  • Resolves issues and troubleshoot all service-related problems within service level agreements and as urgency requires.
  • Follows escalation procedures to document and notify appropriate support staff, equipment vendors, or other contact involved parties and notifies management as appropriate.
  • Creates and maintains process and service line documentation.
  • Communicates production problems to affected users.
  • Ensures fixes, patches and upgrades are applied to the software and/or infrastructure.
  • Provides IT Team Lead with statistics and information to assure adherence to hospital computing standards and policies.
  • Assists in the orientation and integration of Level I new hires.
  • Uses Electronic workflow management system to resolve customer incidents.
  • Monitors application performance and capacity and proactively recommends enhancements/upgrades to ensure applications stay in acceptable ranges. 
  • Exhibits competence in monitoring applications, hardware and recommending necessary upgrades.
  • Demonstrates competence in detailed problem-solving, documentation, and record keeping

Required Education and Experience

Required Education: High School / GED

Preferred Education, Experience & Cert/Lic

Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree, Associate’s degree, or technical diploma


Preferred Experience:

  • One (1) to three (3) years relevant (to concentration) IT experience
  • Experience in healthcare technology

Preferred Licenses/certificates/registrations:  MCP, MAC OS or A+ certification

Additional Technical Requirements

Platform Concentration: 

  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, Asset management lifecycle and tools, device hardware, platforms and operating systems, Microsoft Management Tools, Enterprise Printing Management, software distribution tools preferred.
