Job Summary

The PACU is currently recruiting for a Full Time Clinical Support Associate (Medical Assistant) working rotating Days and Evenings shifts, with no weekends and no holidays. Working Hours could range from starting at 6am to 11pm).

The PACU provides preoperative and postoperative care to all types of surgical patients and also to those patients receiving general anesthesia in other departments.  The Clinical Support Associate (CSA) performs delegated clinical and administrative duties in a medical support role within their scope of practice and consistent with their education, training, and experience.  This position does not permit the administration of any medications.

Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations

CPR (90 days)
BLS (90 Days)

Required Education and Experience

Required Education: High School/GED. Graduation from a Medical Assistant Program.

 

Required Experience: One (1) year of related work experience.

Preferred Education, Experience & Cert/Lic

Preferred Experience: One (1) year of work experience in medical office setting.

                                                                                                                     

Preferred Licenses/certificates/registrations: AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or American Medical Technologist/Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).

Additional Technical Requirements

  • ·Computer skills that demonstrate health care informatics competency in order to manage patient care, data outcomes, and current and emerging health care technology.

  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, staff and the public
