Job Summary

This position is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant (CRA) for clinical research in Late Effects of Childhood Cancer Therapy conducted within the CHOP healthcare network. The Principal Investigator (PI) is a double-boarded physician in Pediatric Oncology & Pediatric Endocrinology with a research program focused on addressing endocrine late effects in childhood cancer survivors. This position provides great research opportunity, mentorship by PI, and valuable experience for candidates with a strong interest in pursuing a future professional position within a healthcare-related field (medical school or graduate school).

Job Responsibilities

The expected responsibilities for this position include the completion of research related activities such as:

Meeting enrollment projections for multiple studies within study-specified time lines via confirmation of subject eligibility, recruitment, and informed consent of study subjects

Scheduling and coordinating study visits for multiple studies, including preparing study packets and accompanying research subjects for each study visit

Data management including completion of study case report forms as well as data clarification, collection, abstraction, storage and entry into REDCap

Serving as PI liason with other research groups and assisting PI in administrative tasks

Overseeing communications with CHOP’s Institutional Regulatory board (IRB) and ensuring study compliance with regulatory requirements

Assisting with preparing research grants, literature reviews and article retrieval, and maintenance of endnote or related literature libraries




Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations

Required Education and Experience

Required Education::  AA in a related field

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Required Experience:  1+ year(s) relevant clinical research experience

Experience working in a clinical or hospital setting is desirable but not required. Prefer 2 year commitment to the position. Requires high degree of flexibility in skills and hours.
